12) Today, I am thankful for our Catholic Engaged Encounter family. For those of you who don't know what Catholic Engaged Encounter is, it is a weekend of marriage preparation for those who are planning to get married in the Catholic Church. However, it's not open to only Catholics- anyone can come and we don't shove our religion down your throat. It is simply helping you to prepare for a lifelong marriage. Michael and I are currently one of the support couples- we work in the background, making sure that everyone has what they need. Hopefully next year, we'll be one of the presenting couples- talking about our marriage.
We made our Encounter in May 2013 and it was a beautiful weekend- many of the couples pulled together to make sure that the weekend ran smoothly. The CEE team is definitely a community of loving couples- and we are truly a team. There is no "I" in team and this shines through in this group of wonderful Christian people.
