Hello Everyone and welcome to my world. Let me start by introducing myself. My name is Krista "KK" Mounsey. I am happy to say that I am married to my best friend and confidante, Michael. I am proud to be bonus mom to three wonderful boys: Thomas, Michael, and Nathan. Here's a picture of us before we officially became a family:
We also have a crazy Chiweenie named Bella Rose- she just turned a year old in December. Here is a picture of her with one of her rawhide bones (she devoured it in less than a day!):
Since I was a child, I wanted nothing more than to be a wife and a mother. In November 2012, that dream came true when Michael asked me to be his wife. In July 2013, we said "I do" in front of family (and a couple of close friends) in a beautiful outdoor setting. In all that we do, we strive to put God first and foremost because we know that without Him, we are nothing...but with Him, we can do ANYTHING! God is our strength and our deliverer. He has made us into the people that we are and He is continuing to bless our lives!
Currently, Michael and I are very involved in Catholic Engaged Encounter in the Mobile Archdiocese. We believe that marriage preparation is a very important part of it because after all, a wedding is just a day, and a marriage is a lifetime. It's essential to make sure that you are sure that this is the person you intend to spend the rest of your life with. Catholic Engaged Encounter welcomes people of all faiths- you do not have to be Catholic to attend a weekend.
Michael and I are also involved with Patriot Guard Riders, which are the men and women who stand the flag line at the funerals of Veterans and First Responders. This is a group that was started due to the Westboro Baptist Church protesters. We've done rides for funerals as well as for ceremonies for Veteran's Day, Memorial Day, and the Fourth of July. If you live in the local Mobile/Baldwin County area and are interested in joining, please let me know- we always welcome new riders! If you don't have a motorcycle- you can still join as a support vehicle! We need drivers that can carry the flags, waters, and sometimes chairs!
Though this was started to be an encouragement to Christian women, it is my hope that I can be an encouragement to everyone- no matter who or where you are in life. I will be sharing a portion of my life along the way.
God has called me to be a light to the world and I'm going to do that. I pray that He will work through me to touch the lives of others. Please subscribe so that you can get daily updates of my posts. I look forward to getting to know my readers.
