PONDS VoxBox from Influenster

As a member of Influenster, I received the PONDS VoxBox in exchange for my personal review. All opinions are my own.

I recently received the PONDS VoxBox from Influenster. The box contained a coupon and a sample (5 pack) of the PONDS towelettes. I have to be completely honest, I was not at all impressed by these towelettes. They did clean my face nicely- got all of my makeup off- but I did not like the way they left my face feeling. I ended up having to wash my face with soap and water afterwards to get the residue off. I would not recommend this product unless you want to do double work.

Alternavites Review & Giveaway

Hello! I am so excited about bringing you this great product! If you have difficulty getting your child to take vitamins or you just don't want to give them anything that isn't as healthy as it appears to be, you're in luck! Alternavites are amazing! I even tried one of the packets myself to be sure and it's super yummy!! Your kids are sure to love them too!

I try to avoid giving my kids anything with sugar. So a long time ago I stopped giving my kids gummy vitamins that we covered in sugar. When I discovered alternaVites, we were instantly in love with our new vitamins. They are delicious and fun to eat. They are also sugar free and they don’t have any types of artificial sweeteners. I have to admit, that I often take these multi vitamins instead of my adult vitamins.

alternaVites makes a delicious multi vitamin that your children will love. Your kids can pour them into their mouth or you can mix them into a smoothie or yogurt.

Now alternaVites also offers supplements. In addition to taking a delicious multivitamin, you can be sure your child is getting their daily dose of Vitamin D and Calcium.

Calcium is incredibly important for children, pre-teens and adolescents as it can help support strong bones and teeth as they develop and grow. It is surprising to note that, even though there are so many delicious foods that provide a great source of Calcium, the majority of girls and boys over 9 years of age do not consume enough of it**. alternaVites Kids Calcium is a wonderful source to help supplement your child’s diet with our delicious melt-in-your-mouth powder form. This formula not only contains 200mg of Calcium, but it also includes 500IU of Vitamin D and 100mg of Magnesium. Together, these nutrients can work to help promote optimal absorption. Specifically formulated for children ages 4 and older, alternaVites Kids powder can be poured on the tongue where it melts in the mouth (think pixie stick) or mixed into foods or drinks. The yummy Carnival Swirl taste made from natural flavors will have your child excited about something that is nutritious and delicious.

ECO Ultrasonic Essential Oil Diffuser

I received this product free of charge in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

Recently, I became a Simply Aroma Rep, selling essential oils. I was so excited about it because it was a FREE opportunity, all I paid was shipping. You can go check out my site for more info by clicking the link above. I'd love to have you join my team!

However, even though I'm selling essential oils, I have not yet invested in a diffuser. So, I was pretty stoked when I was given the opportunity to try this one from Eco Ultrasonic! I am in LOVE- seriously! This diffuser releases just the right amount of scent into the room without being overpowering. Plus, it only takes 2-3 drops of oil for 300 ml of water- so that means I won't be using all of my oils up at once!

I love the light show that it does, alternating between all of the colors of the rainbow. However, I have a hard time falling asleep with this feature, so I like that I can turn it off but still have the oils being diffused while I sleep.

Overall, I LOVE my new diffuser and I would definitely recommend it!

With Love,

Krista

"Flash: The Homeless Donkey Who Taught Me About Life, Faith, and Second Chances" Review

As a member of the Tyndale Blog Network, I received a copy of "Flash: The Homeless Donkey Who Taught Me About Life, Faith, and Second Chances" for the purposes of this review. Following is my honest review of this book.

Have you ever felt like you were at the end of your rope? When it seems like everything that CAN go wrong HAS? That's where Rachel Anne Ridge was. The economy had crashed, bringing down her once thriving business. She was worried what the future would hold for her and her family. She worried that they would not be able to pay their bills. She prayed for God to send along a sign that He was listening and that everything would be okay.

Enter Flash the donkey. When everything is going wrong in your life, the LAST thing you want to do is find a lost donkey just hanging out in your yard, right? Even the town sheriff said he was "worthless." However, Rachel and her family had to disagree- so they took him in.

Flash the donkey touches their family in a deep way- helping them to break down the barriers that divide and learn to love and trust again. Flash gives the Ridge family the strength they need to carry on during their darkest times.

This book really touched me. I love that one of the simplest and humblest of creatures- a donkey- was one of the greatest blessings this family needed. This is definitely a story that I won't forget for a very long time. I highly recommend that you pick up this book today!!

"If I Plug My Ears, God Can’t Tell Me What to Do" by Jesse Clemence Review

As a member of the Family Christian group of bloggers, I was blessed to receive a copy of “If I Plug My Ears, God Can't Tell Me What to Do" by Jesse Clemence. This is my review of that book. All opinions are my own.

Okay, so think back to when you were a child and someone was telling you something you didn’t want to hear. If you’re like most children I know, you stuck your fingers in your ears- or started singing/shouting- and saying “I CAN’T HEAR YOU!” Am I right? I know that I definitely did that. I’ve even been guilty of doing it to God. When I feel God telling me something that I don’t want to hear or leading me to do things I don’t want to do, I’ve said “I can’t hear you!”

Searching for Sunday by Rachel Held Evans Review

As a member of the Family Christian group of bloggers, I was blessed to receive a copy of "Searching for Sunday" by Rachel Held Evans. This is my review of that book. All opinions are my own.

Comforting and terrifying…..two words that combined, describe one thing: FAITH. I do believe that faith should be both comforting and terrifying. I know, sounds like a contradiction, right? Let me explain what I mean.

Faith should be comforting. It should be where you turn for support in times of trouble. It should be where you find rest. However, faith should also be terrifying. It should call you to grow and to step out in obedience when God calls you.

“Searching for Sunday” by Rachel Held Evans is the story of her own thorny relationship with the church. She voices the hopes, concerns, and even frustrations that people have with the church. As I’ve read this book, I’ve heard the voices of others in my life voice these same hopes, concerns, and frustrations.

I was born and raised in the Southern Baptist church. As I grew older, I found myself with some of these same feelings. I felt myself begin to doubt the church (but never my faith- that has always been strong). There was something missing.

In 2011, I discovered the Catholic Church. I began to do research on my own and started taking RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) classes and learning all I could. It was there that I found what I had been missing. My faith is now both comforting and terrifying. I’ve been called to do more now than ever before- and I’m heeding those calls.

In “Searching for Sunday” Rachel Held Evans tells stories around the church’s sacraments: baptism, confession, and communion- as well as others. You will find yourself agreeing, disagreeing, laughing, and may even shed some tears. You will be touched in the deepest part of your soul with this book.

If you’re searching for something that you feel is missing in your faith life, this is definitely the book for you. You can pick up your copy today from Family Christian Stores. When you shop at Family Christian, they give back to help others to grow in their faith.
