When it comes to others, do you consider yourself first or do you think of others first? Be honest. Many times, we consider our own personal needs and desires before we consider the needs or desires of others. That doesn't make us terrible people, it makes us human.
However, God does call us to care for others before we take care of ourselves. After we've taken care of others, we are called to go back and take care of ourselves. Please keep this in mind next time the opportunity to serve someone else comes up.
